We are not sure and don't know or have little knowledge, but about 750 years ago miso and soy sauce came from China along with the monk style of garb.
Hotokokushi was the name of the person who carried this tradition but people of Tenei gave him the nickname, "Hottoko-san"
It is said that a statue he carved of himself, seated, is enshrined in the village at Anyo Temple (a Prefectural Important Cultural Property) and worshippers come from the nearby area to pray before it, for it is believed there is a strange power in this seated figure.
It seems it has the power to "Silence the child's crying during the night."
How to pray to stop the crying sat night is a special element.
1. Pray with your child, and rent a bib.
2. After the effect has stopped the crying, return to offer prayers of gratitude, return the "Rental bib" and give a "new baby bib."
If you are parents of a crying child, how about giving it a try?
