Shirakawa City, Shin-Shirakawa 3-chome 54-3 Wing Room, IA
The owners travel around the country researching such second class gourmet dishes as Tochio fried tofu and squid ripened in its own ink.
In addition, we have more than 180 kinds of potent potables, making this shop irresistible to those who enjoy tippling. For those who are not into shochu or sake, we've plenty of fruit liqueur to enjoy.
When we make shochu, the unrefined spirit coming from the from "Tarekuchi (condenser spout)" is the first dripping (hanatare). Liquor connoisseurs consider this to be a rare treat. Shochu is made over a one year period from start to finish, and we are so happy when it is ready to drink. The name "Hanatare" is from the owner's feeling that "You can look back over that one year, but never forget the first feeling"
