Byakkoi (Isolepsis Crassiuscula) is a member of the sedge grass family first reported in Meiji 38 (1876), and is native only to Shirakawa City, Omotego Kaneyama. It is said that when it was named, the area where it was found was mistakenly thought to be Aizu, and it was named after the Byakkotai, White Tiger corps.
