On April 20 of a leap year Keio 4 (1668), the Aizu Clan took possession of Shirakawa Castle, and on the 22nd, they replaced Shirasaka Village's boundary stone on the border between the clans and across from the Daishoya Myojin which read "North of Here is Shirakawa Domain" with a wooden marker which read "North of Here is Aizu Domain" to inspire the region.
