In Taisho 11 (1922) "The Father of Japanese Capitalism" Shibusawa Eiichi, assisted in this construction.
It immortalizes Matsudaira Sadanobu. On the grounds there is a teahouse Sadanobu used, "Fu-tei Ragetsuan" Furthermore, at Lake Nan, Sadanobu landscaped and planted the area with "Rakuo Sakura" that bloom and provide a superb, beautifully colored approach when spring comes.
Just now, entry is denied to the teahouse and treasury because of the effects of the terrible earthquake.
It is, however, available for worship and prayer as usual.
