It is quiet and serene here at this temple.
Shirakawa's feudal lord, Ota Betto Yukitaka, built this in Manju 3 (1026). After that, it is said that Yuuki Munehiro changed the name to Ryuzo temple.
During the Edo Period, in the city of Odagawa, Hoseki Temple oversaw the temples along with Shirakawa area Shingon sects, and there was also a Buddhist center for meditation and scholarship.
