It is said that in his travels during the Kamakura Period, Tokimune’s apostle, the Holy Ippen, built this on Shirakawa Fujisawa’s grounds.
Later, Shirakawa Castle (Karame Castle) was built in Fujisawa’s area, and then, during the Northern and Southern Courts Period, Shoho Temple was moved to the grounds of (Shirakawa) Komine Castle and we think it had a strong connection with Shirakawa Yuki. During the Niwa time (1627), it was moved to its current location.
Also, Shoho Temple later generation's Yugyo Shonin traveled all over the country as a missionary and spread his faith at wherever he stayed.
