A bright interior and a cute appearance have made us popular with folks around here.
We renovated this confectionery that began selling Japanese sweets in 1907 (Meiji 40).
Our fourth generation owner, Sanpei Yoshitaka, learned his craft from a Western confectioner outside the prefecture, and became skilled at production techniques.
Inside, we have cake and other kinds of fresh no-bake Western confections, cookies and usually over 50 kinds of kinds of baked things, in addition to about ten kinds of traditional Japanese confections.
Everything we have here is an original creation.
Our #1 hit is "Yakishokora" a moist, small baked chocolate goody.
The moist texture and perfect sweetness not only suits the ladies, but "Goes with sake" as well, so men really like them too.
