The Odan burial mound group was designated a prefectural historical site in Ishikawa Town on April 13, 1971(Showa 46).
Within this group of burial mounds dating back from the early 6th century to the early 7th century are two tombs with rounded back ends and seven tombs that are completely round. The No.1 tumulus is the largest, has a rounded back, and was made in the early 6th century.
The length of the mounds is approximately 39 meters, and we can see vestiges of ditches around them.
It is believed that interred in these mounds are the powerful families that once ruled the Ishikawa region.
