We were founded in 1948.
Our signature confection is "Oshu Ji Yokan" For our Yokan, we use red beans to give that subtle sweetness, put luxurious chestnuts steeped in honey on top, and then wrap this in a sheath of bamboo and steam.
The moment you put it into your mouth, the mildly sweet and simple flavor spreads with the fragrance of bamboo.
Moreover, when the Emperor and Empress made a visit to Shirakawa, they enjoyed eating our steamed Yokan.
"Oshu Ji Yokan" is our principle product and we take pains to give joy to all the people who come to our shop and indulge in this elegant not-too-sweet taste.
