Customers at our shop can enjoy the feeling of the season during all four seasons.
In addition, besides the nostalgia of the good old days and enthusiastic talk of the hometown, here all employees try never to change the style of our confections.
We opened in 1863 and since we delivered to Shirakawa’s samurai of yesteryear, we are not ashamed that our sign has been here for a long time. Currently, every day we continue our endeavor to make good confections.
At our confectionery, we recommend “Ubadama”, made for ages with kanzarashiko flour (known these days as Shiratamako flour) in the foothills of Mt.Yuzuki, using a waterwheel for grinding. We use this to make our gyuhi, a sort of Turkish Delight, filling them with koshian bean paste and named for the black seeds of the mountain iris.
Certainly, come here and eat sometime.
