As you drive along Highway 118 in the mountain areas of Tenei village, you come to a shop that you might like to take a gander at. In front of the shop you can see fish being grilled on skewers.
If you stop, there will be the good smell of fish being cooked.
At Tenei Iwana Center, the shopkeeper grills salted fish he raises himself.
One skewer is a reasonable 400-500 yen.
And, there are not only grilled fish but living fish too.

At this store are the only two people in Tenei Village (the owner and his mother) who make, decorate, and sell woven straw rainwear and sandals.
