Akazurayama range is located on the eastmost side of the Nasu mountain range at 1,701 meters above sea level, and all around the area you can see virgin forests of beech and Erman's birch, and at the summit there are White Enkianthus, rhododendrons, and many alpine plants.
From the summit, you can look out over a vast 360 degree panorama of the Nasu Range. From the old Shirakawa Plateau Ski Resort to the summit takes about an hour and a half. You will find it easy to enjoy trekking here.
On the last Sunday of May, the mountain becomes open.
