We are not sure when this opened but it is said that the "exquisite" main hall was destroyed by fire in Kyoho 14 (1729) so it was built before that time.
During the Edo Period, it was called "Rempozan Fukujuin" in Meiji 3 (1870) it received a Fudoson statue from Chiba's Naritasan Shinsho Temple and was renamed "Naritasan Enyo Temple"
