This teahouse by Sadanobu was built on a site with the most scenic view of Nanko. It was called "Shimin Kyoraku (Samurai and Commoners Enjoy Together)" ignoring social status and removing the barrier between them so everyone can enjoy it the same.
"Kyorakutei"is one of 17 famous scenic spots at Nanko. Sadanobu himself wrote a waka poem entitled "Kyorakutei"
It reads: "With the water and the hills, both common folk and the mighty exalted can enjoy a happy gathering together."
