Ono Yakushi Hall is said to have been built in Daido times (806-810).
Returning to her hometown in Akita, Ono No Komachi became ill near Odagawa Inn and had to take to bed. She prayed at the Yakushi Buddha of Hakusan Temple for recovery from her illness, and returned home safely.
In addition, there is a memorial for the Boshin War dead, "Boshin War Dead Memorial Tower"
