This is the teahouse of tea master, Matsudaira Sadanobu. The thatched building is modest, and typical of Sadanobu. Nearby is Nanko Shrine Treasure House, displaying relics of Sadanobu.
During "Ragetsu" it is a great spot to look at the moon between the ivy leaves.
In this place, the Shirakawa Tea Ceremony Association holds tea ceremony get-togethers.
(On the second Sunday of the month from April to November there is a meeting for tea ceremony masters, and in May and October, the spring and autumn Grand Tea Ceremony.)
