Miyanomae Burial Mound has been designated a Prefectural Historical Site.
Built at the top of a hill on the slope, the grave has a stone chamber with a length of 15 meters and a height of 4.5 meters on the entry side.
The actual grave is made of stacked stone blocks with a hole in the side and a total length of 3.9 meters, a width of 2 meters, and a height of 1.8 meters. Blocks are cut and stacked to make a room and to form a gate through which to go inside. From the structure of the stone chamber, it appears to be the tomb of some person from the northern Kanto region. (The separation from the interior by this kind of gate is typical of the Kanto area.)
